Single Sided versus Double Sided Printing
All our flags within the Wingtip, Teardrop and Rectangular flag ranges offer a ‘single sided’ or ‘double sided’ option. It’s important you understand the difference because we want to make sure the flag type you choose not only does the job you want but performs that job for many years to come.
Single Sided (Printed on one side)
The single sided flag is printed on one side only, the fabric used is thinner and lighter, an added bonus with this is the flag will fly freely in lighter winds. The single sided banner is also a lower price point. The flag will have show through, meaning the print from one side will show through as a mirror image on the opposite side, this might not always be the desired result.
Double Sided (Printed on both sides)
The double sided flag is made from three layers of fabric weaved together, there is a block-out liner in between the two outside layers which are designed to accept the printers ink and lock in the pigment for longevity. This flag has no show-through, this feature also means you could have a different design for each side if you wanted. The flag is heavier and requires stronger winds to create movement.
